Koji Okumura
Psycho Therapist
Koji Okumura was born and raised in Osaka, Japan. He has two younger siblings. He received a B.A. in Economics from Saga University in Japan, and went on to receive M.S. and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Brigham Young University in the United States.
He practiced clinical psychology at a specialized abuse center, a gynecologic hospital, and his own clinic.
Since 1997 his focus shifted more toward industrial psychology where he worked for several companies.
His interests were also in teaching classes on psychology and human resources management at undergraduate and graduate levels, and did research on entrepreneurship, career development, psychological wellbeing, and marital satisfaction.
He and his wife have done volunteer work as mental health specialists for the Europe Eastern Area in Ukraine, and currently for the Europe Central Area in Germany.
